FAQ: Pricing

Your approach to pricing seems too good to be true. What's the catch?

No catch. We know that we have the best construction management software on the planet and we don’t need to charge a king’s ransom for you to use it. Just tell your friends and project stakeholders  to use us. We grow our business through referrals.

Do I have to pay for additional users?

Our project pricing includes unlimited users for the length of the project.

Does it cost extra to get my all of my project data at closeout?

We provide all project data to you through a link to download to your own server or off-site file storage service  at project closeout as part of our fee. There is no extra cost.

Do you charge anything for training or ongoing user support?

We will spend whatever time is necessary to insure you and your entire project team understand how to use Owner InSite. We will also provide unlimited user support for as long as you need us. Oh and it won’t cost you a penny more. That would just be lame.

What if I don't have a credit card to bill against?

We can provide you with a paper invoice but we charge a small nominal fee to pay for the tree to paper conversion. Don’t worry it’s not a lot.

FAQ: Project Setup

Does it really take less than an hour to setup a new project?

Yes. Actually it takes less than a few minutes once you know what you are doing. We have some clients that can set up a new project faster than we can.

So what happens if we bring on a new contractor, architect or engineer in the middle of the project? Do we train them or does Owner InSite's rock star training department train them?

Our rock star training team is always available to help!

Do you support internationalized text?

You can add any type of text to the textboxes (Unicode), and the accounting module allows for entry of non-US currency. Besides the English labels (and other static text), we are ready for your internationalized projects.

Will you help us setup our first project?

Of course we will. We want you to feel absolutely comfortable and confident that your project is setup correctly. We are happy to show you how to do it as many times as you need. Though that old adage about teaching you to fish…most of clients catch on so quick that they are setting up projects without us in no time!

Shouldn't my team just use this software? Why would we want to give anyone access?

Information is key to a project’s success. Having everyone with the latest information is absolutely critical to keeping a project on schedule and on budget. Owner InSite makes it easy to use our platform as a collaborative communication tool that will keep all project members up to date and informed.

But if everyone has access to my project will they see what I can see?

Not necessarily. You get to make the call as to what you want the other project stakeholders to be able to view on Owner InSite and what level of detail they can have access to. Everything is very role specific so that we provide your stakeholders access to only the information they need to have.

Seems complicated to get the entire project team wired up. Is it?

Absolutely not. In fact, we predict your project team will love you for giving them such a powerful set of tools to assist them on the project. Owner InSite is by design a tool to insure that project teams work more collaboratively and more smoothly with one another. It’s through our awesome set of tools that we can help insure a project’s success!

FAQ: General Setup

One of your competitors said you guys are new to the construction space and therefore not a good option for us to consider. What say you?

Oh competitors you’ve got to love them. Owner InSite has been around since 2003 and has been used on over $8 billion dollars worth of construction project management. We know this business like the back of our hand and understand the issues and problems that project team’s like yours face and we solve them.

Well one of the other companies we are looking at said your software was originally designed for owners is that true?

Guilty as charged! We did originally develop this software for owners and owner’s reps. However, after being used on projects like M. D. Anderson Cancer Center and hearing how much contractors, architects and engineers liked using our software, we decided it was time to broaden our approach and bring our unique set of tools to a much larger audience.

Does that mean you aren't focused on contractors or architects?

Absolutely not! Since Owner InSite’s inception, we have added a ton of features and capability. We now have a very specific and defined focus on serving the information needs of every stakeholder on a project. Whether you’re a contractor, architect, engineer or inspector, we’ve worked very hard to build a set of tools that can benefit you and your individual team on a project.

We consciously choose to not spend our time selling against our competitors as we know the ultimate judge of whether Owner InSite is a good fit for your team or not is you.
